Fielder would be nicer as a Giant! Send Braun and Hart our way too!

Cliff Lee to the Rangers...makes them tough to beat in the AL West.

I am glad Lee did not go to the AL East.

Nah, they'd be too heavy at the corners :r

No kidding! Might create a crown in the middle of the field with all the weight on the corners. Could you imagine the two of them at a buffet together... but then again Prince is a vegeterian. :r

Is it just me or does the Home Run Derby get more boring every year? I use to love them and the last few years just haven't done it for me. Is it just that I'm getting older so it's losing some of its lust?

Agreed... my wife asked me if I was even watching it because I was on the computer at the same time. I really wasn't paying too much attention to it, but know what the alternatives would have been :r

I thought it was exciting this year. Not as good as Hamilton getting robbed in '08, but entertaining enough. This was my middle child (8yrs old)'s first HR derby , and he was excited about it. He was pulling for Corey Hart, but it was not to be.

On both sides. If the pitching keeps up for a couple more years they will start talking about lowering the mound again. :r

Braves/Blue Jays swap shortstops...Yunel Escobar for Alex Gonzalez.

Escobars attitude finally caught up with him...and it's a shame, because he showed so much promise.

Yeah but its the Twins. THE TWINS!! We never beat you guys up. In fact, in a certain dome that will remain unnamed, we had a hell of a time beating you guys. But, you are not in the dome anymore:D

As did your bullpen.

Trust me though, it will come down to the last week or so for the Al Central. Although I see the Sox winning it;)

The last week or so? Ya think? Remember, last year the Tiggers and the Twinkies couldn't even cut the pie in 162 games . . . it took them 163 1/3 instead. You'll be lucky if it's over with a week to go. :r

In all fairness an AL central team might be able to squeeze one win off of Burnett. But thats about it :r

mlb.com has nothing better to do than to put a A-Rod 600 watch at the top of their site. Every at bat that A-Rod takes is broadcast live at the top of mlb.com's homepage. Ridiculous! Where were they when Griffey was shooting for 600 two years ago?

mahtofire 07-28-2010 07:59 PM

that's cuz griffey never got caught with roids....MLB loves to pump the roid ragers in the media.....
