Just years of watching Red Sox magic. Very similar observations of the Yankees this year:)

Re: Yankees vs Angels ALCS 2009

Someone explain to me like the idiot I am.
Why is Robertson being taken out, pitching well, no one on base, 2 outs.
I am no genius and don't get paid what Gerardi does but man this is a tough one to digest.

MedicCook 10-19-2009 06:31 PM

Re: Yankees vs Angels ALCS 2009

That is why he gets paid the big bucks.

The only other pitcher the Yankees have in the bullpen is Gaudin.

Blueface 10-19-2009 06:33 PM

Re: Yankees vs Angels ALCS 2009

That was a dumb a$$ move on Gerardi's part and I didn't need his paycheck to freaking figure it out.

and the only batter on the bench is Molina

Big time.
Gerardi was a total "richard" today.
That idiotic move will leave everyone scratching their heads and he can shove it up his cooly.

Do I sound pissed?

"Overmanaging", the understatement of the year award to Gerardi.

Well, it has been a while now since my crap fit.
I wish I could say I feel better.
I am still fuming.
Don't mind losing. Part of the game. Just can't figure this one out to give the game away like that.

I feel your pain on this one. It's unexplainable and it cost us.

I only hope Girardi noticed the damage he made and doesn't repeat it.

It is nothing like the 2004 ALCS. That was depressing.

That loss did not bother me all that much - I never expected a sweep. All I really want is one win out there, although I will take two if offered.

Tell you what DID bug me, aside from over-managing. Not only did they lose, they lost in extra innings - which left me in a dilemma. Do I miss the end of House, or the beginning of Big Bang?
