Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Real season starts today.
The one guy with the hot draws has to be the new pitching coach after all of these homeruns. At least Lester snapped out of it yesterday, they are just not getting any bounces to go their way. Can't blame McDonald for the ninth, with two outs he is running like that ball went up the middle which it would of if it didn't get a piece of the pitcher. By the time he saw it in the hands of the SS it was too late. |
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Loved that second inning! Knock on wood, but this would be a great day to break the streak!
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Hang in there... :mh
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
This is a great game, but tense!
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Let's go bullpen
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Yes!!!!! JD!!!!!
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
OK time for Papelbon....get out the Rolaids or prayer beads or pet rocks
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
And all is well in Red Sox Nation

Lackey got a gift getting the win he stunk, if he don't get it together, he will be begging for a trade :2
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
yep Hughes stunk a little bit more. A great pitchers dual haha
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
The bats finally woke up yesterday and picked up Lackey on another mediocre performance like they are supposed to do.
Nice to see both Salty and Drew come up with clutch hits |
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
God damn it, another crappy pitching performance!
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
My observation so far is Boston is to big of a stage for Crawford, and Salty don't belong in the bigs.
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Crawford will be fine, I hope. Now Salty is another story. It's a long season. I'm just trying to enjoy the games
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Crawford is Jacoby Ellsbury, it's so messed up Francona don't know were to bat him in the lineup?
For my money I would rather have Ells, just my .02. |
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
You may be right. I'm just trying to give it more time. It's very early yet. I always loved watching Crawford when he was with the Rays. He's to go an athlete to get overwhelmed in Boston
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
What's the over/under on the new pitching coach getting whacked?
These guys are throwing like it is the first two weeks in March not April. Too many balls staying up (and leaving the park). |
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
No doubt he is a great athlete but that batting stance so wide open, bring the heat up and inside and you can handcuff him. I don't know that's how I would pitch him?
He sitting on the bench with his head in his hands, I think if he has a big game it might get him going? |

If they continue to pitch this bad I say hes gone by June |

Everyone except DiceK seem to be pitching like DiceK
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Pedro wants to come out of retirement and pitch for the Sox,says he will be ready in a month.
Hell yes, I would take a chance on the best pitcher in Sox history just for his attitude:banger |
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
So nice to see Beckett pitch like the guy of old. I think V Tek should catch him on every start. Hopefully Paps can shut the door.
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Nice win for sure
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Great game by Josh, Always nice to beat the yanks 12 runners left stranded :sl

Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Hey, Josh Beckett - you know the All Star Josh Beckett, (the one we thought was long gone), made an appearance last night vs. the Yankees. Nice!
By the way, the new ESPN crew is just as awful as last years'. Give me Don & RemDog any day. |
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
beckett touched 96 mph finally yesterday...
i wish espn adopted using the home team announcers when it comes to ball games... would give each home team more character... |
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Nice outing Dice, this piece of crap should be outright released
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Can someone tell Daisuke Matsuzaka this is not batting practice
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Dice K needs to get traded! I'm so sick of watching him every 5th day. Enough is enough with this guy.
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
I was at the game tonite. Field box seats courtesy of Grace's firm.
It sucked so much worse in person. Posted via Mobile Device |
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
I can't take this any longer, somethings got to give. My blood boils watching this team right now.
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Worst team in Baseball, at least we beat the yanks :banger
Yeah they will get on a roll? Five starters batting under 200. Crawford I still don't understand that signing? The man hit 19 Home runs once and never drove in more then 90 rbi. The big money he got was always given the future hall of fame type sluggers. Someone needs to be made an example of even if it is Francona he baby's these guys. No way heads would not roll if Parcells or Belichick were running things. |
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Nice win today. Beckett looked good again. Now let's go Bruins
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
hopefully the offense can finally get going, they are due for a break out
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Nice win, another very good pitching performance by Beckett :banger
Lowrie had a big game, it's going to be hard to keep him out of the lineup. Crawford riding the pine were he belongs, he should give back the money and get out of town :td |
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In

If either of them snaps out of it they can move up. The only reason to start Dice-K is to hope he wins a few games and you can trade him. Maybe Seattle would take him and Ellsbury for a catcher that can hit (do they have one?) |
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
I think Ellsbury will get traded? He is good value you don't need him and Crawford they are the same.
The Sox will have to discount his jerseys( Oh No ) as it is the number one seller all the pink hats love him,he's so cute :r |
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
WINNING STREAK!!
No chance of Ells getting traded |

[quote=timo;1238508]Dice K has no trade clause[/QUOTE
I think today might be his last game in a Sox uniform if he throws a stinker? They don't have to play him, just pay him if he has any pride in himself he will ask for a trade? Japanese players are frauds, other then Suzuki the rest have been nothing special. |
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Just when your out ,he sucks you back in... first win in the last 11 starts, even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while :D
|
Re: Red Sox Nation -Check In
Looks like the offense is finally coming alive. Glad to see Jed getting some good ABs, I would rather have him in the line up every day than Marco.

I like the Kid he has been plagued by injuries and not being able to play a whole year. If h keeps this up Scutaro can be the utility guy. |

Apparently Ellsbury has turned into a speedy version of Dave Kingman. Hopefully Theo is on the phone right now trying to strike a Dice-K deal before the shine wears off. |
